The main objective of the area is to develop basic, epidemiological and clinical research in the field of different diseases of greater prevalence and chronicity, to improve the diagnosis, survival rates, therapeutic management and quality of life of patients. To do so, the aim is to deepen the knowledge of the molecular, biochemical and cellular mechanisms involved in the etiopathogenesis of diseases, as well as the quality of life and clinical safety of patients.
